4 Days skiing- only 1 day off work!
(which is Maunday Thursday; Friday and Monday are both Bank Holidays!)
17.15 Wednesday evening, check-in at Elizabeth Harbour for Condor ferry departure to St. Malo at 18.15. On arrival in St.Malo transfer to a sleeper coach for overnight trip down to the Pyrenees. At approximately 23.00 the coach will make a brief stop to convert the internal seating into bunk beds. It should be emphasized that these are not merely reclining seats, you actually lie flat in a lower or upper bunk.
We will arrive in Cauterets, in the heart of the Pyrenees National Park, early on Thursday morning and go straight to our hotel for breakfast. The Hotel Chantilly is situated only 300 metres from the new high-speed 8 man Gondola Lift. After breakfast we will distribute the lift passes, and set off for the lift to take us up the mountain(cost of lift passes is included). You can hire skis and snowboards(Ski and boot hire from 17 euros per day) from a shop just down from the hotel. If you have your own equipment just carry on to the Lift car station!

The Gondola ascends directly to the Cirque Du Lys from 1850 to 2560 metres, with its 35 Kms of runs. At the end of the day's skiing or boarding you can leave skis and boards in lockers at the top station for a small charge. Back down in the valley there are bars and cafes, a casino, an ice rink and a swimming pool, and dinner is provided at our hotel , (with wine included!).We will ski all day Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. On Sunday evening we will return skis and boots etc.and leave Cauterets after dinner in the hotel for the overnight trip back to St. Malo, to catch the 11.45 Condor ferry back to Jersey, arriving at about 12.00 on Monday. That day is also a bank holiday, like good Friday, so you have the rest of the day to catch your breath before returning to work on Tuesday!
Cost of this trip is £530 per person, £470 for children 12 and under, to include ferry, sleeper coach, hotel accommodation, breakfast and dinner (with wine!) 4 days ski lift pass and the srvices of a French speaking Tour Guide.Ski hire is not included as some people have their own kit, cost for the 4 days is 35 Euros for skis sticks and boots if you are a beginner, 41 Euros for intermediate, and 53 Euros for advanced.
