Weekend ski Trip to Piau Engaly,
2nd-5th February 2024, 2 days skiing !
Located at altitude between 1,860 and 2,600 metres, Piau-Engaly is the highest resort in the French Pyrenees. Its skiing area extends over more than 65 kilometres. This area is suitable for all standards, even beginners! Two full days of skiing, half-board hotel accomodation and lift passes are included.
Your Itinerary: check in at 13.30 Friday afternoon 2nd February, for Condor ferry departure to Cherbourg at 14.30, arriving in Cherbourg at 18.00. Transfer to coach for overnight trip down to the Pyrenees.
We will arrive in Piau Engaly early on Saturday morning and go straight to our hotel for breakfast. We are staying at the 3 * Hotel Les 4 Ours, which is situated in the centre of the village, which is small and entirely pedestrianised. After breakfast we will distribute the lift passes, and just across the road from the hotel you can hire skis and snowboards (ski and boot hire from 18 euros per day). If you have your own equipment just carry on to the slopes which are also just across the road from the hotel !
We will ski all day on Saturday and Sunday.
On Sunday evening we will leave Piau Engaly, after an early dinner in the hotel, for the overnight trip back to Cherbourg, arriving at 11.00 on Monday morning to catch the ferry at 12.15. We will arrive back in Jersey at 13.45.
N.B. Condor Ferries have advised us of the following:
St Malo port closure – we have been advised that St Malo is closed from early January to mid-February for port maintenance, so we have no choice but to operate instead to Cherbourg.
Now , we will be arriving in Cherbourg earlier than usual, and departing on the return journey later than usual, so our arrival and departure times to and from Piau Engaly, should not be affected too much!

All you have to pay for is ski/snowboard hire, or you can bring your own skis or snowboard with no carriage charges!
The cost of this trip is £499 per person,
In the event of cancellation due to tempest, insufficient numbers, force majeure, etc. all monies will be refunded.
Book your place by paying a deposit of £100 below.Balances will be due by 8th December. N.B. we have an option on the rooms until 20th November, so don't delay, book today!
Make sure you have winter sports and covid cover insurance at the time of booking!
