Gourette is a purpose built resort at the foot of spectacular slopes which rise to 2450 metres in height, with 25 pistes and an array of high speed chairlifts, gondolas and 150 snow cannons which assures snow cover above 1400 metres.Our hotel is the Boule de Neige (snowball!), which has a jacuzzi and sauna, restaurant, bar and all rooms have shower and w.c. It is actually situated on the slopes, but you won’t feel isolated, there are bars, shops and restaurants just 50 metres away! This area is suitable for all standards, even beginners!

Programme:17.30 Friday evening, check-in at Elizabeth Harbour for Condor ferry departure to St. Malo at 18.15. On arrival in St.Malo transfer to sleeper coach for overnight trip down to the Pyrenees. At approximately 23.00 the coach will make a brief stop to convert the internal seating into bunk beds. It should be emphasized that these are not merely reclining seats, you actually lie flat in a lower or upper bunk and sleeping bags and pillows are provided.
We will arrive in Gourette early on Saturday morning and go straight to our hotel for breakfast. After breakfast we will distribute the lift passes, (cost of lift passes is included). Across from the hotel you can hire skis and snowboards (ski and boot hire from 22 euros per day). If you have your own equipment just carry on to the lifts and up the mountains! In the evening we will have dinnner in the hotel restaurant.
On Sunday we will again have breakfast in the hotel, spend the day on the mountain and then descend to return skis and boots etc. We will leave Gourette, after dinner in the hotel, for the overnight trip back to St. Malo, arriving on Monday morning to catch the 08.00 ferry to arrive back in Jersey at 08.15.
Cost of this trip is £365 per person, to include ferries, sleeper coach, hotel accomodation, breakfast and dinner on Saturday and Sunday, and 2 days ski lift pass and services of a French speaking Tour Guide.
